Joseph Kavanagh

Joseph Kavanagh was born at Askintinny, Arklow, on 20 July 1914, the son of Denis Kavanagh and Julia Reilly. 

His birth was registered on 5 October 1914 by midwife Sarah Massey of Fair Green, who was present at the birth.

Eleven-year-old Joe was residing with his parents and seven brothers at Askintinny, Arklow, listed as being at school.

Marriage to Rose Indaco

Joseph later relocated to London, where he married Rose Indaco in 1941 in the registration district of Islington.

Joseph passed away on 21 June 1979 at the age of 64 in the London Borough of Enfield and was buried at Edmonton Cemetery.

His wife Rose (recorded in memorial records as Rose Sunda Kavanagh) survived him by thirty-five years, passing away on 23 September 2014 at the age of 96, and was buried alongside him at Edmonton Cemetery.
