James Connors

James Connors was born on 8th January 1908 at Askintinny to James Connors, a sailor, and Mary Kavanagh.

Tragically, little James lived for three weeks. He died at the family home in Askintinny on 30th January 1908 from congenital debility, with no medical attendant present.

His mother, Mary, was present at his passing and registered both his birth and death on the same day, 16th March 1908. 

His brief life explains the poignant details in Mary's later 1911 and 1926 census returns, where she recorded having given birth to four children, with only three surviving (Michael, John, and Thomas).
