Laurence Kavanagh

Laurence Kavanagh was born at Askintinny, Arklow, on 17 February 1917, the youngest son of Denis Kavanagh and Julia Reilly.

His birth was registered on 31 March 1917 by midwife Sarah Massey of Fair Green, who was present at the birth.

Nine-year-old Laurence (recorded as "Lar") was residing with his parents and seven older brothers at Askintinny, Arklow. He was recorded as being at school.
