Michael Kavanagh

Michael Kavanagh was born at Clogga, Arklow, on 13 November 1910, the son of Denis Kavanagh and Julia Reilly. 

His birth was registered on 13 February 1911 by midwife Sarah Massey of Fair Green, who was present at the birth.

1911 Census

Michael was listed as living in Household 11, Rock Big with his parents and seven siblings; Patrick, Lizzie, Denis, Mary, James, William and Edward.

1926 Census

Fifteen-year-old Michael was residing with his parents and seven brothers at Askintinny, Arklow, listed as being at school.

On 30 December 1946, Michael was his brother William's best man when he married Anna Mary Roche in Arklow.
